Liepajas Metalurgs won two titles, while in the last two years we got two new champions - Liepaja in 2015, while Spartaks Jurmala is the reigning champion.Girts Karlsons, although being a 35-year-old veteran, is the best player in the league - he scored 17 goals last season, and he already scored one goal in the first round match for Ventspils this season.
