China Championship Snooker Live Streaming*

China Championship Snooker is the ranking tournament held in Guangzhou, China. So far, two tournaments have been played. In 2016, John Higgins defeated Stuart Bingham by 10:7 in the final, while in 2017 Luca Brecel defeated Shaun Murphy by 10:5.

This year's edition of China Championships was played from August 16 to August 22 at the Guangzhou Sports University. The total prize fund was 700 thousand British pounds, while the winner's share was 150 thousand British pounds.

Numerous top players took part in this year's competition. However, they mostly failed to record more than two victories. Zhou Yuelong defeated Mark Selby in the second round; Mark Davis defeated Barry Hawkins in the second round as well, Judd Trump lost to Graeme Dott in the second round, Neil Robertson lost against Li Hang in the first round, while John Higgins was defeated in the second round by the hands of Tom Ford. Ronnie O'Sullivan won a few matches, but exited the tournament in the quarterfinals - the eventual champion Luca Brecel defeated him by 5:4.

Luca Brecel was an underdog in this tournament, and nobody saw him beating in-form Marco Fu in the second round. However, after expected victory over Jimmy Robertson by 5:2 in the first round, Luca Brecel came out strong in the second round as well and defeated one of the biggest favorites in the tournament Marco Fu by 5:2 as well. In the third round, Brecel defeated Mike Dunn by 5:3, and he had another stellar performance against O'Sullivan in the quarterfinals and defeated him by 5:4. Brecel went on to defeat Li Hang by 6:5 and Shawn Murphy by 10:5 in the final and captured his first career title.
