From the next season on, Vegas Golden Knights will join the Pacific Division.

Montreal Canadiens is the most successful team in the league, with 24 Stanley Cups, but they haven't won the title since 1993. Detroit Red Wings is the second most successful club with 24 Stanley Cups won and they won the last title in 2008, while they featured in the finals the year after. Pittsburg Penguins are the reigning champions and the most successful NHL club in 21st century, with three titles, along with Chicago Blackhawks, which won the titles in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
