Euro Hockey League is the hockey cup competition for the top hockey clubs in Europe. The first season was played during 2007 and 2008, and it replaced previous Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup and the Cup Winners' Cup, as the pinnacle of club hockey in Europe. EHL popularised the sport across the continent, and there are much more viewers at EHL games than you can see during the European domestic league matches.

EHL consists of 24 clubs from the twelve highest ranked EHF member countries.EHL has five stages: round one is the round-robin group stage and after that the league switches to a straight knock out format. 24 clubs are drawn in eight group of three, they played against each other once, and the two best clubs are entering round two - best of 16 stage.After that, the tournament progresses in a knock out system.

It is interesting that only German and Dutch clubs won the title in EHL so far: UHC Hamburg won three titles, HC Bloemendaal has two titles, while HGC, Harvestehuder THC, Oranje Zwart, SV Kampong and Rot Weiss Cologne have one title each.The winning club receives 20 thousand euros, while the best player gets a personal cheque of five thousand euros.
