The inaugural season of Rajputana Premier League was played during July 2017. Six teams from Rajasthan took part in the competition, and all matches were played in the capital city of the region, Jaipur. So, we can say that this is the Premier League of one of the Indian states.

Jaipur Tigers, Udaipur Eagles, Bhilwara Wolves, Ajmer Panthers, Jodhpur Lions and Sikar Bulls competed for the grand prize. After the league part of the season, four teams qualified for the playoff phase - Bhilwara Wolves played against Jodhpur Lions in the first semifinal, while Sikar Bulls played against Udaipur Eagles in the second semifinal. Sikar Bulls went on to win the league with a victory over Bhilwara Wolves.

The Rajputana Premier League is a standard Twenty20 cricket league. It differs from the Asian leagues with a similar concept, since we have six teams that are all from one region from one Asian country - in most of the cases these leagues are transnational, and their primary goal is to grow the popularity of the game. Rajputana Premier League is competitive, and we expect that trend will continue in 2018.
