Two editions were held up to date, with Jodhpur Jodhana Royals and Pali Seervi Royal winning the titles. In the first tournament held in February 2016 there were only six clubs, while in the second tournament held in February 2017 there were eight clubs. The sponsors hope that the next tournament will have even more teams in it.

The teams are mostly consisted of young Indian players and there aren't many international players in the league. Farveez Maharoof, Sri Lankan international, played for the Kota Chambal Tigers in 2017 and he is one of the few more experienced internationals who took part in the Rajwada Cricket League.

Rajwada Cricket League is played in a double round robin system and it lasts for a month. It is one of the twenty20 cricket leagues - the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Twenty20 is one of the three forms of cricket that are currently recognised by the ICC and the highest in both international and domestic level.
