Wacth FIVB Gstaad beach volleyball Major tournament have been played from July 4 to July 9 in Gstaad, Switzerland. This was one of the two beach volleyball Major tournament that has been played this season. Major tournaments are five-star tournaments, the highest rank of all, only behind World Tour Finals and World Championships.Men's and women's tournaments were played at the same time, and almost every team from the top took part in this competition.

American veterans, Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena, won the by defeating Bartosz Losiak and Piotr Kantor from Poland in the finals. The result was 21:18 and 21:19, and Lucena and Dalhausser won their second title in the season after they lifted Moscow Open trophy in June. Alvaro Morais Filho and Saymon Santos from Brazil defeated their compatriots Evandro Oliveira and Andre Stein in the match for the third place. The result was 21:12, 21:18.

In women's tournament, Chantal Laboureur and Julia Sude from Germany defeated Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes by 2:0 (21:18, 22:20). This was the first trophy for Sude and Laboureur in the season. Before this tournament, they qualified for the semis only once, at Fort Lauderdale Major tournament in February. Franca and Antunes won the title at Fort Lauderdale and Moscow Open previously. In the match for the third place, Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes from Canada defeated Joana Heidrich and Anouk Verge-Depre from Switzerland by 2:0 (21:15, 21:12). Both teams played in one final this season before this tournament, while the Canadians appeared in one additional semifinal as well.
