CEV Baden Masters Beach VOLLEYBALL LIVE STREAM*

Watch CEV Baden Masters beach volleyball Masters was played from June 21 to June 25 at Baden, Austria. This tournament has been particularly interesting because it was preceded by U22 European Championships, played from June 15 to June 18, and some of the teams which played there stayed in Baden for one more week and participated in the Masters as well.

The tournament was full of surprises, and the home crowd enjoyed exciting matches, with only a few teams managed to get a straight sets victory in the closing rounds of the tournament. The top seeded team from Latvia, Janis Smedins, and Aleksandrs Samoilovs crashed out of the tournament after losing to German combo Julius Thole and Lorenz Schumann. However, the Germans were probably dried out after their sensational victory, and they lost to Belgians Tom van Walle and Dries Koekelkoren in the semifinal. In the second semifinal, the home favorites Clemens Doppler and Alexander Horst played against the second seeded Viacheslav Kasilnikov and Nikita Liamin from Russia. In the exciting match, Austrians celebrated a victory in straight sets.

In the finals, however, Belgians were too strong for them. Tom van Walle and Dries Koekelkoren celebrated a 2:1 victory and lifted their first trophy in the season. Russians gave a walkover to Germans in the consolation final, so Germany won the bronze medal.
