It is interesting that the Irish Open was the first tournament that the reigning world and Olympic champion Cristina Marin won in her illustrious career, back in 2009.

In men's competition, the only player who won more than one title in the last ten years is Rajiv Ouseph. Irish Open is an International Challenge event. This year's tournament will be played from December 5 to December 8 in Blanchardstown.
