Valencia's performance in Madrid last week was simply amazing. They managed to trash Real Madrid 77-93 as they dominated in almost every part of the game. In that manner, they succeed to have two wins in the row and they must be feeling quite optimistic about the rest of their Euroleague campaign.  But they don't seem to get along in their domestic league, as they lost at home from Unicaja 66-71 and their record is now at 2-3.    

Bojan Dubljevic demolished Real Madrid's defense. The center from Montenegro hit 6 three-pointers and totally scored 24 points in 19 minutes. No one could stop him or in fact, no one of his teammates and so Valencia took an important and totally deserved way win. He is expected to play a key role in tonight's clash as well. 

Barcelona might beat CSKA 76-66 at home for the first round, but they didn't do so well at St. Petersburg. They lost 74-70 from Zenit. The Catalans didn't manage to stop Alex Poythress.  The American power forward took Zenit on his shoulders, finishing with 16 points, 11 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocks. 

Barcelona didn't play for the ACB this previous weekend. They announced that following the latest rounds of tests performed on the team, both Saturday and Sunday, FC Barcelona announced that one player positive for COVID-19, while the rest of the team tested negative. Coach Jacikevicius was found positive on October 3, but he will be at the bench tonight.  

The overall record in Euroleague since 2000, is Valencia v Barcelona 1-3.
