Real Madrid struggled in some games in the preseason. They lost the first three friendly games they played – against Manchester United, Manchester City, and Barcelona, but they defeated two out of those three teams in the competitive games shortly afterward. First, they defended their crown in the European Super Cup by beating Manchester United by 2:1. After that, they defeated their arch rivals Barcelona twice, to capture their second trophy of the season in the Spanish Super Cup. In Primera, Real Madrid cruised to a routine victory in La Coruna – the result was 3:0. Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended for the first five games of the season after he was given a red card in the Spanish Super Cup leg one against Barcelona, but his absence was almost unnoticed in those two matches Real Madrid played without him. Marco Asencio and Isco showed class and lead their team to victory.

Injuries and suspensions : Mateo Kovacic is injured, while Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended for the upcoming game.

Valencia started the season in Primera successfully as well. They recorded a 1:0 victory over Las Palmas and their primary goal for the season is to finish in the top six. Of course, a point against Real Madrid on the road would be big as a house, and they will try to get it with an ultra defensive approach.

Injuries and suspensions: Nani and Gabriel Paulista are injured for the upcoming game.

REAL MADRID vs VALENCIA FOOTBALL PREDICTION

Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be able to help his friends in the next game, but it seems that Real Madrid is too strong for Valencia despite that.  In their last ten games in Madrid Valencia failed to defeat Real and it will probably stay like that after Sunday’s match.
