Panathinaikos really tried but could make it till the end, so they lost 76-71 from Bayern Munich at Audi Dome last Thursday. Bayern was based mostly on Wade Baldwin and the American guard with 27 points led them to win. Mario Hezonja paced Panathinaikos with 14 points and Georgios Papagiannis and Lefteris Bochoridis each had 10 for the visitors. It was the third defeat in a row for Panathinaikos.

Mario Hedjonia might be the new star for Panathinaikos, but everyone in the team is happy to see Ioannis Papapetrou is back. So Panathinaikos will be able to play with a big lineup, using him and Hezonja on the wings. Panathinaikos must make the most out of that size advantage and stay aggressive on offense. Omri Casspi besides being an important tool in Maccabi's offense he could also play a key role in this game against Papapetrou. As always, Maccabi must find good scoring options for Ante Zizic and Othello Hunter in the paint to spread the floor for its many shooters. And if they manage to keep Hedjonia away from their paint, then they might stand a chance.
