Norwich v Preston Live Streaming Championship

This weekend, two teams meet in a rather pernickety form. Both teams have won one game in their last six, with Norwich having not won in five and Preston ending a five game winless streak last weekend. Awful results have left them both sitting 12th and 15th – nowhere near where the pre-season predictions would have had either club.

Norwich started the season as a potential favorite for promotion with some, but a lot of fans expected transition. To be much closer to the bottom than the top in late November, though, likely isn’t the transition that they expected!

Whoever wins here could go some-way to restoring what feels like a lost season.

Norwich Team News
For the Canaries, only young James Maddison can say he has done anything positive this year. Nelson Oliveira, after his early season antics, has failed to kick on and despite having 5 goals has been in a rather drastic form in recent times. The defense, too, looks really shaky with summer signing Grant Hanley doing nothing to help the team feel any better about themselves.

Norwich doesn’t really do anything to excite or inspire, so it’s hard to have any real hope for them coming into this match in truth. After Maddison, their next best players are full-back Stiepermann and goalkeeper Gunn. Given neither have been too impressive, that tells you all that you need to know about the poor state Norwich are in.

A win here, though, could soon help to restore their season.

Preston Team News
Meanwhile, Preston arrives at Carrow Road with a bit of joy back in the camp, following a much-needed win. Losing Simon Grayson in the summer was a kick in the teeth, but they seem to have recovered well enough. They might expect to be top half so far this year, with 12th place not doing much for them, but they know a win here would open up a six-point gap on Norwich.

Jordan Hugill will be expected to continue up top, with 5 goals to his name so far this year. Alongside midfielder Tom Barkhuizen, too, they have a relatively exciting attack and would be more likely to cause problems for Norwich than the other way around.

Defenders Davies and Huntington have been solid, too, and with Fisher at full-back, they have a defense that isn’t too flash but knows the value of defending; more-so than the porous Norwich defense.

Head-to-head
This hasn’t been a match which has been kind to Norwich, winning only 2 of their last 6 against the opposition. Despite being at home, regular performances against Preston – and teams like Preston – need to become more regular if Norwich are to push for anything like promotion.

Match Expectations

Call us dour, but we don’t expect a great deal here. A loss to Nottingham Forest – themselves in poor form – leaves Norwich hanging by a thread in terms of confidence. Luckily for them, Preston lack
