Tornike Shengelia made quite a debut for CSKA scoring 15 points at their clash with Barcelona. But somehow it wasn't enough so the Russian side suffered a loss at Eurolegues premiere. Nikola Milutinov, Semen Antonov, and Janis Strelnieks will not help their team tonight after testing positive for COVID-19. The Serbian All-EuroLeague center has joined CSKA this year from Olympiakos but hasn't been able to help them so far.

Maccabi Tel Aviv started this season's Euroleague campaign with a tough win over Alba Berlin 80-73. The domestic league hasn't started yet, so coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos will have more time to prepare his troops for their trip to Moscow. He will be a little concerned about the lack of pace though.

The big news for Maccabi is that  Dragan Bender has joined them again. The center signed a three-month deal with the Israeli champions with an option for the remainder of the season. The Croatian center was drafted for Phoinix in 2016 and also played for Milwaukee and Golden State.
