This weekend Camp Nou is set to host one of the most anticipated matches in La Liga this season, FC Barcelona against Sevilla. FC Barcelona, a team that has set a record start, with 10 MP so far they’ve won 9 and tied 1 accumulating 28 pts.

BARCELONA LATEST NEWS

FC Barcelona returns to the Camp Nou after a tough match in Greece against Olympiakos where they played to a goalless draw. Besides the draw, Barcelona picked up two more injuries, the polyvalent Sergi Roberto and the Portuguese international Andre Gomes. Barcelona has also released a statement confirming that the 33 year old midfielder Andres Iniesta will not recover on time for the match on Saturday.

Sevilla FC comes in knowing they have to play a smart and very tactical game this Saturday if they want to see any positive result walking away from Camp Nou. Sevilla got an important result on Wednesday against Spartak De Moscu, beating the Russian side by 2-1.

Sevilla FC is still trying to find a consistent squad as they have had 8 different lineups in 10 matches played in La Liga, with Wissam Ben Yedder being the top scorer (8 goals in all competitions, 2 in L Liga). Sevilla is a team that finds its best minutes on the pitch when they find equilibrium in between lines, with Steven N’Zonzi giving the back line an extra man when needed, and Ever Banega controlling the pace of the game. If they are able to keep a simple and quick ball movement they may find themselves in front of Ter Stegen’s box.
