ASVEL started this season with ambition. But the first two matches - both of them on the road - was not successful ones. Now the have to make a restart at home facing the Greek Champions, Panathinaikos. The French side is facing some problems. They announced on Saturday that following the latest round of tests, two of its players and a coach have tested positive for COVID-19. The team did play on Sunday for the French League and get an away win 73-82 against Cholet. 

One of the main reasons ASVEL lost at their latest Euroleague's game at Milano was the too many turnovers. Head coach TJ Parker just knows that in order for his team to start winning they must not offer too many turnovers to their opponents at this level of competition. But his main problem tonight is that until the last minute he can't be sure about how many players will be available for the match. 

Surprisingly enough they get an away win at Moscow against Khimki for the first round. Although their shooting percentages were low they did manage to take advantage of Khimki's absences and so they won. But they didn't quite succeed against their domestic rivals Olympiacos. In that game were also shooting with a low percentage, but Olympiacos were a far better team and they beat Panathinaikos 71-78.  

Head coach Georgios Vovoras is still troubled about not having Bochoridis available for tonight and also about the poor performances of Nemanja Nedovic. The Serbian guard doesn't seem to truly join the effort of the rest of the team. And with Bochoridis out of the team for yet another game, Nemanja is needed more than ever.
